A unique specimen of a cube within a cube... Two, beautiful, translucent, blue cubes of halite, to 1 cm across are locked within a larger, glassy and gemmy, colorless cubic crystal of sylvite. Mesmerizing! This came directly from the collector and was in a private collection for many years. It seems to have natural faces, though they could be old cleaves, smoothed naturally in the pocket at a later time. This is one of the most shocking mineral specimens I have seen, for contrast. Note that halite from New Mexico is very stable by halite standards, but still most suitable for collectors who live in cold or dry environments (i.e. not Miami).
