Aesthetically nestled in a shallow vein are well-formed crystals of lustrous and translucent, grayish green brucite, to 1.4 cm across. Brucite rarely forms crystals of this quality. A superb specimen from the most famous U.S. locality for brucite. These are very seldom seen on the market today! Ex. Wouter van Tichelen collection. The color is the classic apple green for this locality and it is notable that the specimen is undamaged despite its age of over 100 years. Illustrated in Mineralogical Record, vol 42 #4, page 321 Fig 27.
