Tarnowitzite
Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
Small Cabinet, 6.9 x 5.2 x 4.1 cm
SOLD
Sharp and unusual crystals of tarnowitzite, the lead-rich cousin of aragonite that forms at only a few places, such as Tsumeb and Morocco. Unusually lustrous (most have a matte finish). Overall, aesthetic and large. Sometimes these are labelled as "nicholsonite" in previous labels.
