- Millerite, Gaspeite, Annabergite
- Small Cabinet, 7.0 x 5.0 x 3.3 cm
- Pafuri nickel deposit, Vhembe District, Limpopo Province, South Africa
Very rich millerite specimen from an uncommon South African locality. Thick, divergent, brassy to greenish, subhedral clusters of millerite prevail in this piece. The millerite is transected by <1 to 4mm bright green-yellow seams and fracture-fillings of annabergite and gaspeite. The quartz portion is also lightly stained a similar color from the secondary nickel minerals. A great display piece from a relatively obscure locality, that has a mineralogical story to tell in its complexity! Seldom seen for sale.
