- Vlasovite (rough and cut set)
- Kipawa Alkaline Complex, Quebec, Canada
- Miniature, 4.8 x 2.8 x 1.7 cm (Crystal), 0.12 ct (Gem)
- SOLD
4.8 x 2.8 x 1.7 cm (Specimen); 0.12 carats; 4.21 mm x 2.95 mm (Gem) - Vlasovite is a rare zirconium silicate, and the best known examples are those from the Kipawa Alkaline Complex in Quebec. It's important to rare stone collectors and certainly to anybody who collects rough and cut sets, and there is very little gem material available. This set features a rough specimen hosting translucent tan-straw colored Vlasovite in host rock matrix plus a small "Oval Brilliant" cut gem with very slight inclusions and a soft golden color.
