SUPERB CRYSTALS for the species from a remote but important locality for the reason that it produces such good groutites! These lustrous, bladed crystals reach to 4 mm in size. The jet-black crystals are razor-sharp, and they have a mirror-like luster to them that is reminiscent of the finest black Andradite garnets. This is a very fine thumbnail that is actually better in person. Comparing these crystals to others you have seen of the species will show just how outstanding they really are. This small, defunct locality produced in the past one pocket which, for crystal size and distinction of habit, are surely the worlds best of species.
