Found in the late 1980's, this is one of the famous floater Axinites from this remote mining region. They were gone from the market shortly after, and haven't come out since that time. These are gemmy and complete, with good form and great luster. They stand as being among the world's finest Axinite crystals, to my mind, for these very characteristics. This one is truly exceptional, one of the best for the size! It is as close as these come to being gemmy.
