Superb single crystal of gem yellow, transparent Montebrasite from the pegmatites of Brazil. The luster is very good, and the surface of the faces are very finely textured. In fact, there appears to be a very sharp twinning plane on the front face of the crystal, which adds even more to the interest of this piece. Nearly doubly-terminated, it is contacted on one side and part of the back, but the aesthetics of this crystal are undeniable. There a two dings on a front edge, but they affect the look very little, especially in light of the overall brilliant look and the fact that the weight is an impressive 45 grams.
