Dark blue-black, bladed to prismatic, sub-millimeter, radiating aggregates of bariandite in voids among quartz grains. Predominantly as a matted agglomeration forming the matrix of medium-grained quartz sandstone. Associated with micro crystals of a yellow orange unknown. Named in honor of Pierre Bariand, Curator of Mineralogy, Pierre and Marie Curie's University, Paris, France.
