A sharp specimen hosting a large, dramatic, distinctive blade of silvery Polybasite. This thin blade is decorated with the outlines of numerous hexagonal crystals, creating an almost quilt-like appearance and texture. The Polybasite blades are also populated with dozens of modified acanthite cubes whose luster ranges from matte black to a lustrous silver, and their size is up to about 4 mm. The specimen is quite exceptional and delicately aesthetic, and MUCH better in person. It is complete around both sides. This is an older specimen which I obtained first in the 1990s, and then again recently.
