Hackmanite is the sulfur variety of Sodalite and is very rare world-wide. This excellent specimen features a large 3 cm lavender Hackmanite that is glassy and translucent. The doceahedron has beveled edges, and is contacted in back. Remarkably, the crystal had orange fluorescence with a purple tint along the bevels. Amazing, really. Fine material from the Koksha Valley of Afghanistan.
