These remarkable crystals, considered by all who have seen them to be the best of species, started to trickle out in early 2013 and, we think, were mined that previous winter of 2012 from a single pocket. They are phenomenal examples of the species, simply without peer for color and gemminess. They all have some small dings and bruises, but these we selected have less than most, and show good crystal habit as well. This large single crystal 16 grams), is contacted on one side and broken on another but still has a display angle, and as such makes an excellent (and affordable) representation piece from this important find. It is also unusually thick, but still easily translucent. Joe Budd photos.
