BERYLL-09
Beryllonite
Elias Mine (June 2011), Linopolis, Minas Gerais
Miniature, 4.3 x 3.6 x 2.6 cm
SOLD
This is a complex single crystal of lustrous and gemmy, colorless beryllonite. It looks, in person, rather like a Tsumeb cerussite with silky luster and a gemminess hard to capture in cameras as well as we would wish. The crystals are unusually gemmy and one can observe a few unknown black inclusions inside (much more apparent in person, again. This is the largest crystal retrieved, so far as we know, from a small pocket found in June of 2011. These euhedral beryllonites are seldom found. Very gemmy and lustrous - more so in person than is evident in the photos.
