This is a large, blocky crystal of lustrous, dark pistachio green epidote The display side of the specimen is pristine save for a small ding on the back side of the termination. The back side clearly exhibits two impressions where epidote crystals were once attached (contacts), but is otherwise complete all around, and is very sharp. This robust, blocky epidote is a major California piece.
