Miniature, 4.2 x 1.6 x 1.2 cm
Zagi Mountain (Zegi Mountain), Mulla Ghori, Khyber Agency, Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), Pakistan
Most xenotimes from this locale, already pretty world class, are 1-2 cm. Few exceeded 3 cm, and this is the largest I have personally seen out of several hundred looked at in the last 3 -4 years since they started to trickle out here. The color is very good, and changes a bit in hue depending on the spectrum of the lighting from red-brown to yellow-orange. The gwindel-like twist is particularly dramatic because of the vertical height in which it can express itself, making this a miniature with a bit more pizzazz than you expect out of most generally drab REE species.
