This fine specimen is from the very small, late 1970s Moroccan find and was, until the great finds of the late 1990s and early 2000s, considered to be the finest vanadinite on baryte specimens from Morocco. Highly lustrous, blocky, dark red prisms are very aesthetically and richly scattered on the contrasting, white, bladed baryte matrix. The large crystal, at 1.2 cm, is superbly placed. The edges of all the vanadinites have gemmy flashes of golden-yellow fire. All of the very many major crystals are pristine. Highly representative of the species and find. Ex. Karl Warning Collection and purchased from Brad van Scriver at the AFMS National Show in Salt Lake City in June, 1981. Still distinct, to this day, from other pockets.
