Vanadinite, Baryte
Mibladene (Mibladen; Mibladan; Miblanden), Upper Moulouya lead district, Midelt, Khenifra Province, Meknes-Tafilalet Region, Morocco
Cabinet, 9.9 x 5.8 x 3.5 cm
Look how these candy-lustered crystals just show off against the black background of these coated, bladed barytes. The most classic of these specimens have white baryte, but the black is gorgeous too as a setting for the vanadinites. I like how the crystals have formed rows along the edges of the Barytes - and how they are isolated rather than massed together as a carpet.
