Stibnite, Baryte
Socavon Mine (La Salvadora mine), Oruro city, Cercado Province, Oruro Department, Bolivia
Small Cabinet, 6.0 x 2.3 x 1.6 cm
This specimen came out about 25 years ago when there was a large find of some superb Stibnites from this mine. Before China, these were some of the best Stibnites to reach the market in a long time. This specimen is comprises several highly lustrous, sharp, silvery sword shaped crystals of Stibnite forming a very aesthetic crystal spray. The piece is associated with minor white bladed Baryte. A great classic Bolivian Stibnite specimen.
