Musonoi Mine, Kolwezi, Western area, Katanga Copper Crescent, Katanga (Shaba), Democratic Republic of Congo (Zaire)
Small Cabinet, 6.9 x 5.1 x 3.6 cm
Riveting, neon-pink/red color makes this one of the most colorful species around, but good specimens are rare, dated, and tend to be smallish. This is a large and extremely fine specimen of the material, with 3-dimensional stalactites growing out from a rock core. Except for a few trivial bits of wear, it is complete all around 360-degrees. In person, the color is actually more vibrant than it appears here. Liek the diamond above, it is also an old specimen from Gilbert Gauthier's stock and seldom seen for sale otherwise with contemporary dealers. 6.9 x 5.1 x 3.6 cm
