An extremely rich and important specimen of the very rare iron arsenate SCHNEIDERHONITE! It has a dozen thick, at crystals to 1cm or more and some larger as well. The best of species was found from a small series of finds on the lower levels of Tsumeb, and this IS one such specimen of import. It features lustrous, jet-black crystals to over 1 centimeter, arranged as if windswept along the top of this matrix and covering the front surface (and in fact the matrix itself is massive schneiderhonite). It is one of our most significant specimens in the collection, without a doubt. Acquired 7-23-1984. 4.2 x 2.5 x 1.5 cm
