Phosphophyllite
Infiernillos mine, Machacamarca District (Colavi District), Cornelio Saavedra Province, Potosi Department, Bolivia
Small Cabinet, 7.3 x 6.2 x 2.5 cm
SOLD
This phosphophyllite specimen is from a brand new find for the species in the Machacamarca mining district in Bolivia. It is not from the typical locality at the Unificada mine in Potosi. It features dozens if not hundreds of exceptionally rare, translucent, incredibly beautiful green color (with slight iron staining), euhedral "butterfly"-twinned crystals measuring up to 10 mm of this great phosphate on matrix.
