Margarite is a rare mica group mineral. This rich and fine old-time piece features pearlescent, brownish, stacked margarite plates aesthetically embedded on all side of the matrix. This classic specimen is from the historic Chester Emery Mines of Massachusetts, where margarite was discovered in 1864. The collection this came out of was a museum stash dating to prior to World War I.
