Hilgardite
Boulby Mine, Loftus, North Yorkshire, England, UK
Small Cabinet, 9.0 x 6.5 x 4.0 cm

An exceptional large specimen with multiple relatively HUGE crystals to 5 or 6 mm, and many only slightly smaller! It is important to note that these are real crystals, not the typical little "blebs" on pale boracite that you normally see for this species! This specimen is half of a sphere in form and the crystals line the inner surface of a solid geode of hilgardite which must have filled in the original cavity. This is the richest specimen I have seen for sale (at least in the States, and Tim is a pretty sharp collector and assures me he hasn't been able to buy better in England). Not only is it good for what it is, its just a pretty piece, as well! 9 x 6.5 x 4 cm
