Cabinet, 14.5 x 9.5 x 3.6 cm
SOLD
A fine cabinet plate of striking, lustrous, water-clear, light lavender, interpenetrating halite (rock salt) cubes to 2.3 cm artfully strewn on a solid halite matrix plate covered with smaller, lavender to golden-brown halite cubes. The large cubes are lightly etched, giving them a beautiful, shimmering appearance. This superb, large and essentially pristine specimen is from a very uncommon for the species Polish locality - Lubin, Lower Silesia. Lubin is more well-known for its copper mines. Ex. Dave Stoudt Collection. Dave lived and worked in Poland, when he bought this piece.
