Exceptional, LARGE, twinned blade of Cubanite with excellent metallic luster and dark brassy color. These came out in this size only once in all the years in which this mine operated. It is now defunct in any case, and cubanites from here, which set the standard for the species worldwide, are now extremely hard to obtain at any price. Crystals of this size, truly rare on the market (I have seen just a few in the last 5 years). The blade is very thick, with complete striated surfaces along the top and a beautifully striated and lustrous front and back. This is a SIGNIFICANT piece!
