Gaudefroyite, Andradite, Baryte
Black Rock Mine, Black Rock, Kalahari manganese fields, Northern Cape Province, South Africa
Small Cabinet, 5.5 x 4.6 x 2.2 cm
A superb example of the Gaudefroyite/Andradite/Baryte combinations from Black Rock Mine. The Gaudefroyites are lustrous, and the largest of the crystals is a full 1 cm long. The brilliant red Andradites provide a beautiful contrast. The Barytes add a nice contrast, as well. Ex. Charlie Key.
