This is a rare specimen of red-colored baryte, from old finds in Romania (accompanying label dated 1969). The specimen is elegant in appearance, yet pretty sturdy overall, more so than most of these are. The micro inclusions of red realgar make this a unique baryte, and I am not aware of any from other localities that are red due to this kind of inclusion.
