Any new find of well-crystallized azurite is met with great excitement in the mineral collecting community, as was this one in Mexico recently. However, only a small part of the specimens were in fine condition, with the crystals having had room to develop and grow free of matrix or pocket contacts. Here is a toe-nail sized specimen of Tsumeb-like quality, with wonderfully sharp and lustrous crystals.
