There are plenty of apophyllite specimens out there, so the really special aesthetics of this piece probably what explains why this was in the collection of Marty Zinn: the unusual matrix, and the very attractive way the crystals are perched on them - which is really different from your average Poona apophyllite. These blocky, translucent crystals measure to just over 2.5 cm, and are all complete, terminated and undamaged.
