Though literally tons of apophyllite specimens have come out of the Deccan Traps in India, a very small percentage are the GEM apophyllites you see here - which explains why it was in the notable collection of Dawn Minette. This is an intense burst of the gemmiest possible crystals, complete and undamaged all the way around. The contact is only on the underside, so it almost appears like a stunning flower!
