Nasik District, Maharashtra, India
Small Cabinet, 6.8 x 6.3 x 6.2 cm
One of several specimens marketed as "marshy apophyllite" from a recent find in Nasik that are completely unlike anything I have seen before. My first response was to think them ugly but, really, they are not...the lustrous umber-yellow color is really unique and, in combination with the sharp, tetragonal geometry of these floater crystals, quite interesting and appealing in person. Nearly pristine. This is a complete, unique floater apophyllite.
