Multicolor Tourmalines - New Brazil Find

A remarkable small group of multicolored tourmalines with stunning purple-red terminations, from a single small pocket (January 2020) recovered from one of the many small artisanal mines in this rich gemstone-mining district. Luckily, the entire small pocket went to a friend of ours in the gem-cutting industry, who gave us the chance to buy the lot as specimens before cutting it for the bicolor stones inside. Presented here and on instagram together are the entirety of the pocket contents of quality, only a dozen crystals of such color. These came up to the Tucson show to be sold for cutting rough, if we had not bought them.
