Nestled in a vug of friable matrix are spherical aggregates, to 7 mm across, of the most spectacular, fiery-colored, bright orange mimetite. These are definitely some of the most intensely colored mimetite spheres from anywhere in the world. I have seen a lot of material trickling out of this mine, with dealers in Munich and Tucson. Of them all, most have a consistently orange-yellow color. This is the best large specimen with the richer, fiery orange hue that I have seen available. In person, it simply looks fake, as the color is so saturated!
