This is a simple, stark matrix specimen of a single, equant, glassy and gemmy rhomb of calcite, measuring 1.5 cm across. It has been only very lightly included by fibrous aurichacite, resulting in a pastel blue color in shades and wisps internally. The crystal form and color contrast on the limonite are superb. Probably, this should be trimmed to be a much more significant thumbnail specimen of calcite from here, than left as a miniature.
