From those who know more than I, this has been pronounced the best US example of the species and personally I think it gives a good run to recent material from Malawi as one of the better examples, period, for the species. This elegant specimen is a miracle of survival and skilled collecting by Bob Whitmore, decades ago. It features a large, isolated, crystal of 11 cm, perched delicately on matrix.
