Weighing in at at a little over three pounds, this super-lustrous and very geometric Galena specimen is a riveting, metallic sculpture that looks like it was manmade and could go in a museum of modern art showcasing the interaction of planes and symmetries. The crystal at the top is certainly cubic and the two other, larger crystals are somewhat skeletal and have triangular forms that allude to a modified cubo-octahedral habit. Select faces of the galena crystals are frosted by bright white drusy Quartz for great aesthetic affect. The Galenas are brilliantly lustrous, highly 3-dimensional and complete all around save a few minor corner and edge bruises. It displays well in almost any orientation. MUCH MORE impactful in person, in fact, consider it very difficult to video such luster accurately. According to the old Brad Van Scriver label with it, mined in 2004 and exported by him on one of his infamous adventures to Russia in those days.
