A very choice thumbnail from the Carl Davis Collection, featuring sharp, lustrous, jet black babingtonites to 1.3 cm. They have an almost curvaceous form, and all I can say is that in person, this is one of the choicest thumbnails of the species I can imagine even with Chinese material now on the market (of a different crystal habit, no less). From the classic old US locality, too.
