This wonderful azurite specimen had two distinct periods of growth. The earliest growth was in a rosette form with literally hundreds of gemmy and glassy, short prismatic crystals of neon blue azurite. This rosette measures 3.5 cm across. It is nearly pristine with only 2 hard-to-see little splots of minor damage. A second period of growth saw a wreath of larger crystals around the rosette, exhibiting the same gemmy and glassy, neon blue color. These are blue without need for strong lighting...really AZure blue, not blue-black as often the case. These larger crystals reach 1 cm in length. This is a specimen that is extremely pleasing from a visual standpoint: A glowing neon-blue Tsumeb azurite with unique roseate form
