Quality Sulfur crystals are very hard to find, and to see a beautiful thumbnail like this is a rare thing. This crystal features great form, very good resinous luster, a clarity not often seen in Sulfur, and a dark yellow color that complements the rest. This gorgeous sulfur crystal measures 2.6 cm across corners at its widest. It has textbook orthorhombic crystal form with minor contacting at the bottom where it was removed from the matrix and another area in the back where it grew against another crystal. It is completely transparent and gem all the way through! What I cannot believe is the shockingly good quality this has despite the softness of the species and the vulnerability of such an exposed, textbook shaped crystal.
