A beautifully aesthetic cluster of lustrous, dark red-orange Heulandite blades from an uncommon Australian locality, Tambar Springs in New South Wales. This very showy and very large, box buster thumbnail piece is pristine. It is composed of a fanned spray of crystals that measure a full 3.5 cm long and 2 cm across! The color is really more of a very rich burnt red-orange and is just beautiful, especially combined with its great luster and overall spear-point-shaped form! In cross-section the fan of excellent crystals is very much diamond-shaped. This Heulandite is a wonderful specimen for the species, and quite desirable for the locality and its wonderful characteristics. They had this squeezed into a TN box but it is, more properly, a miniature.
