The green cubes from this older generation of Dongposhan Fluorites (1990s) have a definite, recognizable 'look' to them, and in many ways they are not unlike some of the great Dalnegorsk green fluorites of the time. The largest crystal is 3.1 on edge, and the mint-green color, uniform throughout all the crystals, is pretty and easy on the eyes. Perhaps the most dramatic feature of this small cabinet piece is the way this ascending cluster of Fluorites sits on a single stalk of matrix, seemingly making them float in mid-air. Even with the faces having a slightly silky luster, the crystals themselves are so gemmy that you can easily see the matrix, a la some of the equally great Berbes Fluorites that grow on Baryte. There is a gentle, purple fluorescence to the crystals, and a little bit of wear along one edge of the largest cube but otherwise it is pristine. Excellent aesthetics and a unique look make this a choice cluster for the style, and different from most more common Chinese green fluorite.
