Two steeply terminated, milky white Calcite crystals are topped by a large single, complexly twinned, super lustrous and almost totally gem and colorless Calcite crystal. This is classic old material from the 1990s era of production here, but usually these two styles do not occur on the SAME specimen! The pair of elongate, scalenohedral Calcites are satin lustered and translucent, with one measuring 7.5 cm in length and the other 9 cm. The second generation twin crystal on top looks like a cluster of crystals, but it is not! It's a spectacular, totally gem and colorless, blocky, twinned crystals that is perched very prominently and aesthetically atop the scalenohedrons. The big, glassy twinned Calcite looks like a convoluted ice cube that measures 6 cm in length and 5 cm across and has a very complex morphology as a result of the twinning. There is another crystal at the base of the twin that may be a part of the twin or separate, it's hard to tell. The piece displays nicely on the accompanying custom engraved acrylic base! It is an old survivor, and a rare combination of calcite styles on the same specimen.
