This is quite simply an attractive combination piece of two species that on their own, may not have been impressive. It is a classic style of Ruyuan Fluorite specimens in shape and form of geometry, but with the large green "octahedra" sprinkled with tiny, glistening Pyrites that is rather unusual for here - or for anywhere. Fluorites from this mine came out in modest numbers for only a short time, then became scarce and expensive after about 2015. We believe this to be an older piece. There are three large crystals on this piece ranging in size from 4 to 7 cm on edge and they are transparent most of the way through and only become translucent towards the center due to their size. Although overall octahedral in shape, they are actually composed of small, sparkling, individual cubes that are stacked and taper toward each corner on the crystal resulting in crystals that look like octahedrons. The Fluorites are situated on a sliver of Quartz matrix associated with minor Pyrite to add an accent. It is a well composed piece with contacting on the back where it was removed from the pocket.
