This is an excellent pegmatite thumbnail because it is a gem clean Danburite crystal from Burma! This unique Danburite crystal is lustrous and essentially completely gem with an intense golden-amber pink color. Crystal faces and edges on this exceptional crystal are remarkably well formed and sharp. It has a well-developed pyramidal termination and it is only contacted at the base where it was removed from the pocket. This one of only several superb Danburite crystals of any size that Bill was able to obtain in Burma. This gem Danburite is excellent for the species, and certainly exceptional for Burma. 1.16 grams or 5.75 carats. Rarely seen in such gemstone-clarity and quality.
