Rarely do we see great specimens of Microcline that show really good crystals from Myanmar pegmatites, and this one is exceptional for here but also just a nice specimen from anywhere! This piece consists of a trio of glossy, well-formed, ivory colored Microcline crystals between 4 and 6 cm in length, two of which show very prominent Carlsbad twinning. These Microcline crystals have very well defined faces and edges, exhibit great luster and are totally pristine. The largest crystal stands commandingly vertical at the back of the specimen and shows off its Carlsbad twin nicely. A smaller crystal in front of the big one also displays its Carlsbad twin, and the third laying somewhat reclined in the front of the piece is doubly terminated. A few clusters of small Albite crystals are found around the base of the crystals for a nice accent. This piece has excellent composition and balance!
