This is a remarkable PARISITE from the locality now known for worldclass Bastnaesite, but from which I have not seen another example of parisite as fine as this one! This is a doubly-terminated crystal of exceptional beauty, with form like a saphire and good amber coloration to it! It is translucent, and in the tips transparent, when backlit a bit. Complete all around, and highly displayable, too...I have had in the past a number of the old Colombian parisites dating to the 1940s or prior, which have similar form and size as this one. However, I have not seen parisite from other localities with this aspect, and size, until now. I think this is a quite remarkable crystal, and relatively underpriced given its rarity and significance.
