A single, rich vivid green, translucent cluster of Prehnite crystals sits on a contrasting nest of Calcite and Quartz crystals from Goboboseb, making for a unique aesthetic. The lovely Prehnite ball is almost spikey in appearance due to the numerous crystal terminations protruding around the exterior of the piece that also scintillate with any incident light on the piece. The exterior edges of the Prehnite are almost gemmy, transitioning to a more translucent interior. For contrast, the radial Prehnite group sites of bed of satin lustered, 0.5 to 1.1 cm, translucent white Calcite crystals that are admixed with several, glassy, transparent Quartz crystals to 0.5 cm. These Prehnites are mined, not without difficulty, from cavities in pillow basalts in the Goboboseb area, more specifically known as Copper Valley. Very contrasting and attractive! A major display specimen from the Namibian and prehnite suites of the Charlie Key collection.
