Highly unusual for Switzerland, are large calcite crystals and particularly those of the manganoan pink variety which have only been found a few times in good size and condition. This large, interesting specimen has a soft pastel color and you know the pink is due to manganese by the characteristic intense red fluorescence under UV light, as you see here. If you saw this on the market, you would swear it was from China, today. However, it is a legitimate and classic - but rare - example of Swiss material, provided to the collection as he was building it by Swiss multigenerational dealership Siber & Siber in 2015. This is significant, for what it is.
