This is a cluster of axinite that has been completely coated by minute crystals of chlorite, which actually probably served to protect the underlying thin and elegant crystals of axinite. As an old label with it indicates, it is rose shaped, and just a somewhat unusual specimen for the location. We see adularia covered with chlorite, sometimes hematite, but rarely an axinite cluster.
