Sar-e-Sang, Koksha Valley, Badakshan Province, Afghanistan
Miniature, 4.2 x 3.8 x 3.7 cm
Ex. Herb Obodda
From the Herb Obodda collection, this is a very fine Afghani specimen displaying a 3.2-cm-long crystal with absolutely top color and as sharp a form as you can hope to find. The piece is contacted (not broken per se) on the back-left termination and complete on the main termination. While we have seen many of these, usually they are stumpy crystals in big rocks, or corroded big crystals with small matrix. For balance overall, this one ranks very highly.
